Support School of Theology Undergraduate Programs
The School of Theology and its students benefit greatly from the generosity of donors who believe in our unique model of scholarship, spiritual education, and service. There are several different ways you can contribute to providing students with an outstanding theological education and equipping them to engage the culture as thoughtful, faithful people.
Undergraduate Scholarship Endowment: Walter and Esther Helsel Free Methodist Ministry Scholarship Endowment: Walter and Esther Helsel were devout members of the Free Methodist Church, even serving as short-term missionaries in Asia. Walter was also an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church. Esther graduated with a degree in Education from SPU, and Walter served Seattle Pacific University as dean of the School of Religion, director of the School of Missions, and many other positions. Their four children also attended the University. This endowment is designed to provide scholarships for undergraduate students studying in the academic programs within the School of Theology who have a strong Christian call and intend to pursue Christian ministry as a vocation.
The Center for Worship: Equipping undergraduate and seminary students for vital music ministry is the goal of the Center for Worship at SPU. By making a gift to the Center, you are helping to prepare the next generation of worship leaders.
Dean's Fund for Theological Education:Through a unique model of scholarship, spiritual edification, and service we call “Academy, Abbey, Apostolate,” students are educated and equipped to engage the culture as thoughtful people. The Dean's Fund for Theological Education supports the programs and activities that provide our students with this unique model.
